What is Hyperhidrosis?

Sweating is a vital function of the human body. However, more than 2% of people in Germany suffer from hyperhidrosis.

In hyperhidrosis, the body produces excessive and often uncontrollable amounts of sweat, regardless of temperature, time of day or season.

How can hyperhidrosis be treated?

We treat hyperhidrosis by injecting botulinum toxin into the affected areas, such as the underarms.

This blocks the transmission of nerve signals to the sweat glands.

As a result, sweat production is significantly reduced.

When does the effect start and how long does it last?

The first effects are usually noticeable after about 6 days.Full inhibition of sweat gland activity is typically achieved after around 10 days.

The results usually last approximately 6 to 8 months.
